Power Hungry!

Hmm... have you ever come across a situation where all the appliances seemed to die on you AT THE SAME TIME like they are on strike or something (like the recent strike in France against a new bill that gives companies the right to fire, without any need for explanation or compensation, employees under 26)?

My optical mouse, fan remote control, TV remote control and alarm clock... ALL ran out of battery! Together! Suddenly I find myself in a 'power hungry' situation. I had to 'share' two AA batteries from another appliance to switch off my computer, off my fan, switch channels, off my TV and set my alarm before bed. Time to get one of those Energizer 16-batt promo pack liao... before those 2xAA batteries overwork themselves...

And go on strike too. Anyway, I think the French should have seen it coming. I didn't see mine.

I think I look Better this Way

I dun really like to put my self-portrait on my blog but I kinda like this one because it's taken with my Lomo Fisheye. If you're wondering why the photo looks so blurry... that's because I was actually behind a 'waterfall' in a pool!

That's also why I like this one. At least people dun get to see my 'big nose and fat lips'. Heh.

Film Fiesta Fatigue!

Xiaomin, my brother and I have been avid fans of the Singapore International Film Festival (SIFF) since I started going in my university days. This year is no exception. I'll miss my brother's company though but Juan and Keow will be joining me instead. Hope they'll learn to enjoy SIFF as much as Xiaomin and I do.

This year, it will be...

1. Nitaboh
2. The Glamorous Life of Sachiko Hanai
3. Angel's Fall
4. Question
5. Blue Cha Cha
6. It's Only Talk
7. Little Fish
8. Book of the Dead
9. Noriko's Dinner Table

...a total of 9 films over a span of around 2 weeks? Heh... one of the most I'll be catching in the past few years.

More Cambodia Photos...

This photo was taken on the second day at Angkor Wat just before we left to see the other temples around. I took it after my eyes needed to 'relieve' themselves from looking at all the 'reliefs' along the base of Angkor Wat. The greenery was a welcomed break from all the stones we had been examining all morning.

Support my Cousin!

Yesh... my cousin is one of the two finalist on Channel 8's Star Idol Contest. And the final round is this Sunday. I wish Bryan all the best and I'll at least send an SMS to vote for him! Hahaha! Afterall, he's the first Superstar in the family!

Hmm... I should get a few autograph from him... might be worth something...

Happy Birthday Bro

My bro just got himself a phone in the US. Maybe I'll give him a call later to wish him happy birthday. Wonder if he intends to celebrate at all.... since it's a rare opportunity to do so in a faraway and crazy land.

生日快乐!

Circus Outreach

Just watched a programme on Channel U regarding some different and unique work that Singaporean youths are doing. I watched it because I know a secondary school friend of mine will be on it.

Jiajun has been doing social work through teaching circus acts for some years and I am really happy and proud to see him still at it. I admire his passion, preseverance and dedication in his work. He and his work are truly one of a kind.

Keep it up!

Angkor Wat

is such a beautiful and magnificent place... as you can see from my photo. It was taken on the second day of my trip at sunrise. Keow, Juan and I had to wake up really early to catch this. Although the sunrise wasn't as amazing as reputed to be but nonetheless, Angkor Wat was a sight to behold.

More coming up... as soon as I finish processing all my photos and downsizing them for the web.
